Compliance Enhancing Pack Design
Innovative packaging solutions help patients to take their medication as prescribed. Carefully designed packaging can make a significant contribution to patient compliance with respect to: e.g. ease of identification; clarity of instructions; visible evidence of medication taken.
Through elements such as printing, colour-coding and the format of the package itself, package designers can incorporate features which serve to improve patient compliance.
Since 2007 HCPC-Europe presents packaging designers/developers with the annual Drug Packaging design Award for Enhanced Patient Compliance. A jury consisting of the HCPC-Europe Board of Directors and the members of the Advisory Board evaluate the impact of the pack design on patients’ compliance according to predefined criteria (pugh matrix).
Below you will find the awarded pack designs. Please click on each pack to read more.
